Don’t Give Up

Don’t give up!  Hardships and difficulties are constant, but you can push through it.  Even if it seems like you are never going to achieve what you want to, keep trying.

I know sometimes it may seem daunting and frustrating to get back on your feet after failing, and it may seem like the world is against you: like nothing ever works in your favor, but don’t give up.  There are other ways to accomplish what you are trying to do.

It can be difficult, to press on, if you have a disability or as I like to say: “abled differently”, the smallest task may be a challenge.  With my right hemiparesis, some tasks as simple as holding a piece of paper up to cut, make my muscles sore within a minute. It can be extremely tempting to just ask someone else to help me or just give up.  However, I have realized that when I fail, I can learn how to succeed when I try again.

That is just one of the little things, I know there are much bigger obstacles that I, as well as others face, where we have the temptation to give up, but need to recognize the ability to continue until we succeed.

Everybody faces the temptations of giving up on something, at some point. DON’T!  Instead of giving up learn from the situation at hand and figure out how to make the best of it. Whether that is trying something else or just making the best of what you have to work with.

I can’t tell you what you need to do to succeed, that is something you must learn for yourself.  However, I can tell you that if you believe in what you are trying to achieve, you are more likely to not give up.  Believe in yourself and your ability to achieve great things.

Who knows where you will go by not giving up.  Who knows what will happen when you just try?

I love the quote “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work” – Thomas Edison, because it emphasizes the fact that failure leads to success.  If you are searching for success some failures are inevitable.  The powerful thing is learning from your failures, so you can get back on your feet and try again.

I hope I have helped encourage you that giving up, is NOT the answer.

I challenge you to do something that has been a challenge for you in the past, and no matter how much of a challenge it is for you to accomplish; DON’T GIVE UP!!
